Somatic Psychotherapy & Trauma Informed Bodywork.
- Somatic Psychotherapy: Combines psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy theory. This is a body-centered approach to psychotherapy, typically performed while seated; at times movement and physical supports are utilized. Nervous system regulation is the focus of the session while addressing concerns and symptoms as nervous system regulation is reinstated.
- Trauma Informed Bodywork: Performed, fully clothed, often on a massage table. I employ Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Somatic Experiencing; I do not do any soft tissue work. I provide trauma informed nervous system regulation and trauma resolution work with the two modalities previously stated.
